Part 1

1: What subject are you studying? / What's your major?
"I'm currently studying Marketing at university. It's the study of how to promote products and understand consumer behavior. I find it quite fascinating because it combines creativity with data analysis."
问题 2: Why did you choose this subject/major?
"I chose this major primarily because I've always been interested in how brands connect with people. I remember being really impressed by a clever advertising campaign when I was younger, and it sparked my curiosity. Also, I believe it offers great career prospects in the digital age, which is exciting."
问题 3: Do you like your subject/major? (Why/Why not?)
- 明确表态: 先说 "Yes, I do" 或 "Yes, I'm really enjoying it"。
It can be quite challenging sometimes because...",但最终还是要表达积极的态度,"but overcoming those challenges is very rewarding."
"Absolutely, I'm really enjoying it. The courses are very practical and relevant to the real world. For instance, we just finished a project where we had to create a full marketing plan for a local startup, which was an incredible hands-on experience. It's much more engaging than I initially expected."
问题 4: Is it a difficult subject?
- 客观评价: 可以说 "Yes, it can be" 或 "It has its challenges"。
- 平衡观点: 补说一句 "but it's also very rewarding" 或 "but I find the challenge motivating."
"I'd say it's moderately challenging. There's a lot of theory to grasp, especially the statistical analysis part, which can be quite complex. However, I find that applying these theories to real case studies makes it much easier to understand, and it's very rewarding when you see your strategies work."
问题 5: What do you find most interesting about your subject?
"I find the consumer psychology part the most interesting. It's fascinating to learn about the hidden factors that drive our purchasing decisions. For example, we studied how colors and store layouts can influence what people buy, which is something I never thought about before."

Part 2
Part 2
Describe a subject you enjoyed studying at school. You should say:
- What the subject was
- When and where you studied it
- What your teacher was like
- And explain why you enjoyed studying this subject.
(Well, I'd like to talk about Computer Science, a subject I was really passionate about during my final two years of high school.)
(What the subject was) It was all about the fundamentals of programming, algorithms, and data structures. We started with the basics of Python, which is known for its readability, and then moved on to more complex topics like object-oriented programming and even touched upon some basic web development. It wasn't just about coding; it was more about learning how to think logically and solve problems systematically.
(When and where you studied it) I studied this subject from my 11th to 12th grade, so when I was about 17 to 18 years old. My high school had a well-equipped computer lab, which was our main classroom for this subject. I remember spending a lot of time there after school, working on projects or debugging my code, which could be quite frustrating but also very rewarding.
(What your teacher was like) My teacher, Mr. Wang, was absolutely fantastic. He wasn't just someone who taught from a textbook; he was a former software engineer who had a real passion for the field. He was incredibly patient and always encouraged us to experiment and not be afraid of making mistakes. He had a way of explaining complex concepts, like recursion or binary trees, in very simple, relatable terms. More importantly, he inspired us by showing us the real-world applications of what we were learning.
(And explain why you enjoyed studying this subject) There were several reasons why I enjoyed it so much. Firstly, it gave me a sense of accomplishment. There's nothing quite like the feeling when you've spent hours debugging a program and finally see it run perfectly. It's a tangible result of your hard work. Secondly, it was like solving a puzzle. Every coding challenge was a new puzzle, and I loved the process of breaking it down step by step until I found the solution. Finally, it felt like a creative outlet. Contrary to what some people think, programming isn't just about logic; it's about creating something new, whether it's a simple game or a useful application. It was this blend of logical thinking and creativity that made it so fascinating and enjoyable for me. It really opened my eyes to the possibilities of technology and even influenced my choice of university major.
Part 3
Part 3
-
Do you think school subjects should be more practical?
- 思路: 先说 "Yes, to a large extent",然后解释为什么(连接理论与实践,为工作做准备),再补充说 "However, a solid theoretical foundation is also crucial...",展示你的辩证思维。
-
What skills are most important for students to learn today?
