Q1: Do you like outdoor activities?

  • 高分思路: 不要只回答 "Yes, I do."

Absolutely! I'm a big fan of outdoor activities. I find them incredibly refreshing and a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. For instance, I really enjoy going for a hike in the mountains on weekends. The fresh air and beautiful scenery just help me unwind and recharge my batteries.

To be honest, I'm not really an outdoorsy person. I'm more of a homebody. I prefer relaxing at home, maybe reading a book or watching a movie. While I appreciate nature, I'm not very keen on activities like camping or hiking because I find them a bit tiring and I'm not very good with insects.

Q2: What outdoor activities do you like to do? (or What did you do outdoors when you were a child?)

Well, there are a few things I like to do. Firstly, I'm really into cycling. It's a fantastic way to explore the city and get some exercise at the same time. Secondly, I love having picnics in the park with my friends during the summer. It's a lovely social activity. And lastly, I occasionally go rock climbing, which is challenging but gives me a huge sense of accomplishment when I reach the top.

Q3: How often do you do these activities?

I try to be as active as possible. I'd say I go cycling at least once a week, usually on a Sunday morning. As for picnics, that's more of a seasonal thing, maybe once or twice a month when the weather is nice. Rock climbing is less frequent, perhaps just a couple of times a month, because it requires more planning and time.

Q4: Why do some people prefer doing outdoor activities?

I think there are several reasons for that. Primarily, outdoor activities are great for physical and mental well-being. They help people stay fit and reduce stress from work or studies. Secondly, many people find nature therapeutic; being surrounded by greenery and fresh air can be very calming. Lastly, it's a wonderful way to socialize. Activities like team sports or group hikes allow people to bond and strengthen relationships in a more relaxed setting than, say, a formal office meeting.

Describe an outdoor activity that you like doing. You should say:

  • what the activity is
  • where you usually do it
  • who you do it with
  • and explain why you enjoy it.

  2. 在哪里: 描述一个具体的地方,增加画面感,不要只说 "mountain",可以说 "a national park with a well-marked trail called..."。

I'd like to talk about my favorite outdoor activity, which is hiking. It's something I've grown to love more and more over the past few years.

The place I usually go for hiking is a national park on the outskirts of my city. It’s called Green Ridge National Park. There are several trails of varying difficulty, but my favorite one is a medium-difficulty path that takes about three to four hours to complete. It winds through lush forests, past a small, crystal-clear stream, and eventually leads to a summit with a panoramic view of the entire city. It's absolutely stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset.

I typically go hiking with my closest friend, Li Hua. We make it a weekend ritual. It's a great way for us to catch up on each other's lives without the distractions of our phones or the daily grind. Sometimes, if I need some time for myself to think, I'll go solo, but I generally prefer the company of a good friend.

As for why I enjoy it so much, it's a combination of things. Firstly, it's a fantastic workout. The physical challenge of climbing uphill gets my heart pumping and I always feel incredibly energized afterwards. But more importantly, it's incredibly therapeutic for the mind. Being surrounded by nature, with only the sound of birds and the wind, helps me clear my head and de-stress from a busy week at work. There's a profound sense of peace and tranquility that you just can't find in an urban environment. Lastly, reaching the summit and looking out at the breathtaking view gives me an immense sense of accomplishment. It’s a powerful reminder that the effort is always worth it. So, for me, hiking is not just a walk in the park; it's a journey that recharges my body and soul.

Part 3:

Q1: Why do you think some people are not interested in outdoor activities?

I believe there are a few key reasons. Firstly, lifestyle and convenience play a huge role. Many people living in big cities have very demanding jobs and long commutes, leaving them with little energy or time for outdoor pursuits. They might simply prefer to relax at home. Secondly, lack of interest or skills can be a barrier. Some people might find outdoor activities boring or intimidating, especially if they weren't exposed to them as children. For example, someone who doesn't know how to swim might be hesitant to try water sports. Lastly, accessibility is an issue. Not everyone lives near a
